Odd Beethoven is a collection of pieces for wind quintet, covering my entire output for that medium – from 1984 to 2020.

Tracks 1-6 are from Six Pieces for Woodwind Quintet (1984).

Tracks 7-10 are from Twelfth Night Music, music originally composed as incidental music for a production of Shakespeare's play.

Chordal Memories was originally a solo piano piece. It is also found on Rumbango in a jazz combo setting. Here it is very meditative, with the english horn lending a darker, more somber color.

Aeros was conceived for wind quintet, and is a snapshot of my mood in 2007.

Tracks 13-17 are from Odd Beethoven, "bluesy" interpretations of the great composers themes, and part of a larger project entitled Fractured Classics.

Tracks 18-20 are adapted from Jazz Salad, a set of solo piano pieces which, as it turns out, are splendid in the wind quintet medium.
